Sport: Ice Sledge Hockey
Trains at: Hull Ice Arena and Milton Keynes Ice Arena
SPORTING ACHIEVEMENTS: Part of the National Champions 2011 (Kingston Kestrels). ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:

In 2009 I was diagnosed with bone cancer in my right leg and underwent intensive chemotherapy, an amputation and more chemotherapy. I entered remission in April 2010 and I have raised over £18,000 for cancer charities.

I started playing Sledge Hockey only 7 months ago and I am in the G.B squad hoping to make my debut in the near future. Sledge Hockey is a Paralympic sport and recieves hardly any funding. Therefore players must fund equipment, travel, training and accomodation themselves.

G.B aim to qualify for the 2014 Paralympics and medal at the 2018 Paralympics. Sledge Hockey is also a sport that is unknown and is one of the fasted growing Paralympic sports in Great Britain.

If I won the competition the funding would help me immensingly as I have found it so hard to get sponsorship.

I also believe I have a torid 3 years and that I deserve a good break. I could have died from cancer but luckily my treatment worked. I am trying to make the most of my life and succeed in a sport that I love.

Please vote for me and help me develop in the sport that I love.
